Round-table meeting to obstruct Amaravati farmers' padayatra: BJP

Satya Kumar said YSRC leaders have been wasting time by making empty promises for the past three years and ignoring the development of the state.
"YSRC has done nothing for the development of north coastal Andhra Pradesh. The round-table meeting was organized to dilute and obstruct the ongoing Padayatra by farmers, who have been demanding Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh," he said.

"People have not witnessed a single incident of development in the past three years. The finance minister has been trying to mislead the people with distorted figures on the fiscal situation of Andhra Pradesh which was turning from bad to worse. t is a pity as not a single project has been grounded in the state except for the union government-sanctioned educational institutions. Not a single new institute has come in the three-year rule," he said.
Regarding the demand for a High Court at Kurnool, he said it is nothing new. He said prior to that funds were needed to complete the irrigation projects in the Rayalaseema region.
Lampooning chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the BJP leader said in the last seven years, foundation stones for Rs 7,000 crore worth of projects were laid in Pulivendula but not even Rs 7 crore worth of works have been completed. The AP government failed to complete the land acquisition for various projects in the state, he added.
