Hyderabad: Announcing that she will resume her padayatra from 28 January from where it was ā€œdictatorially and cruellyā€ interrupted by the BRS goons, YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief Y.S Sharmila came down heavily on Telangana Chief Minister KCR on Tuesday. She accused KCR of failing the state on every front and setting for national politics while leaving the people of the state in distress for the last nine years.

Stating that only the YSRTP has taken on KCR and his corrupt and tyrannical government, Sharmila said, ā€œWe never bowed down even when they tried to corner us, abusing their power and authority. With honesty in our intentions and affection for Telangana, and above all, recalling the people-friendly reign of YSR, we travelled across Telangana and covered 3,500 km, only to be troubled and threatened by KCR who was scared of our growing prominence and the manner in which we exposed their local MLAs and MPs.

ā€œWe are resuming the padayatra on 28 January from where we were stopped and humiliated,ā€ she said recounting the chain of events that she claimed were born out of KCRā€™s growing sense of insecurity. ā€œWe will continue to battle his inefficient rule marked by failed promise, as we did with Kaleshwaram or Palamuru or unemployment or other issues. The countdown for the end of this corrupt regime has begun,ā€ she said.

Sharmila ruled out early elections to the Telangana Assembly as she claimed KCR was not ready to take on the anti-incumbency in the state. She also lashed out at Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay for their inefficiency in effectively exposing KCR and his corruption.
