Sharpening his attack on the Modi-led government, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said the farming community in the state and country is facing enormous problems because of unclear and confusing policies of the Centre.

KCR asked the Centre to announce Nation's Comprehensive Food Grains Procurement policy.

The CM reiterated that the TRS is committed to protecting the interests of the farmers and the Agri sector.

During the TRS Parliamentary Board meeting, he advised the Centre to shun its illogical policy on paddy procurement in Telangana. The CM asked TRS MPs to raise the issue in both houses of the parliament.

The CM asked the MPs from both the Houses to take the Centre to task for changing its stance on the Paddy cultivation. He said the Centre is saying that it would procure only 60 Lakh tones of Paddy (40 Lakh tonnes of Rice), while it is expected to procure 90 Lakh MT.

The TRSPP also expressed its displeasure over the Centre's unclear stand on the procurement despite high-level delegation from state meeting Union Minister Piyush Goyal and other officials.

The TRSPP also expressed its anger over the Centre's decision not to buy Boiled Rice.

The TRSPP meeting has decided to raise its voice in both the Houses on behalf of the Telangana farmers. While congratulating the CM for his stance on the paddy Procurement, the TRSPP decided to take on the Modi government in both the Houses.

The meeting said Telangana farmers have become role models for others in the country. The CM instructed the MPs to demand a 'Uniform National Food grain Procurement Policy' to procure food grains from the states.
