By Sri Lakshmi Muttevi Published on 18 Oct 2022 1:43 PM GMTAmaravati: It looks like Andhra Pradesh is set to see new political realignments soon. Expressing solidarity on the hurdles created for Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan by the Andhra Pradesh government and the AP police, Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu met Pawan Kalyan in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
Addressing the media, Mr. Naidu said, "I felt bad about the hurdles created for Pawan Kalyan during his visit to Vizag and decided to meet him and speak to him. YSRCP is the worst political party."
The TDP chief further called for all Opposition parties to fight together to protect democracy.
Mr. Naidu said he will meet the Jana Sena chief again to discuss future plans and prepare a plan of action on the future of politics in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Naidu said, "Whenever a political party organises a meeting, the police make proper arrangements. This time, two parties had programmes on the same day, but the police did not support Jana Sena. The Vizag police harassed Pawan Kalyan from the day he arrived in Vizag and left the place by issuing a notice against him."
He added, "Pawan Kalyan was harassed by the police, the streetlights were switched off while he was on his way to the hotel, and IPS officers got into his vehicle and asked him to stop his vehicle. The government is creating a law-and-order problem and booking cases against us. The ruling party is trying to threaten the Opposition parties by filing false cases."
Mr. Naidu opined that the current political situation in the state is getting worse and said he has never seen something like this in the last 40 years. He questioned the ruling party on why Pawan Kalyan cannot conduct meetings/rallies.
