TDP on ventilator, Naidu looking for alliance for upcoming polls: Sajjala

Amaravati: Calling TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu a man without morals, AP government advisor (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said Mr. Naidu has been looking for political alliances as the TDP has reached the "ventilator stage" after losing all the polls since 2019.

"Chandrababu Naidu always went with an alliance to fight in the general elections as he is not a people's leader," said Sajjala.

Addressing a press conference on 8 August, the government official said Mr. Naidu is behaving as if Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been seeking an alliance with him. He slammed him for his cheap politics and said TDP leaders are daydreaming about coming to power and forming the government, but in reality, people are ready to reject them again. He added that Mr. Naidu has been trying hard to quell the frustration among party activists by starting such propaganda.

Sajjala said it has been three years since Chandrababu was rejected by the public, but there was no realization from his end either to rectify his mistakes or to gain people's trust. Mr. Naidu has been trying to get an alliance for the upcoming elections and is trying to make deals by extending support to BJP in Telangana and seeking support in Andhra Pradesh to split the anti-government vote and defeat YSRCP, he alleged.

He said Mr. Naidu is a man without morals and has set a proper example for how a leader should not be, while Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy has proved himself as a man of the masses and stood as a perfect example of how a leader should be. He said the YSRCP is a party that came from the ideas of Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy, who was worshipped by lakhs of people across the state, and his son Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy proved his mettle by providing good governance.
