Telangana Elections: KCR also wants simultaneous polls like BJP, claims Revanth
Revanth Reddy declared that state-wide surveys have confirmed the formation of a Congress government in five states in the coming elections
By Newsmeter Network Published on 3 Sep 2023 10:48 AM GMTTelangana: āEven though Modi campaigned in Karnataka, the people there rejected the BJP. Modi would attend the Parliament but would ignore important issues such as the Manipur crisis," said Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy.
On Sunday, addressing the media, Revanth Reddy declared that state-wide surveys have confirmed the formation of a Congress government in five states in the coming elections. In the C voter survey, Congress has a 38 per cent chance, while the BRS party has a 31 per cent chance, he said.
Speaking on the One Nation-One Election concept, he said that the BJP and the NDA alliance will face humiliation. He showed a letter written by chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao where he claimed that the BRS is in favour of holding simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and the State Legislative Assemblies.
āThe passage of the Jamili bill needs a two-thirds majority. The BJP will conspire to put power in the hands of one party. I anticipated this conspiracy in advance and mentioned it in the Lok Sabha,ā said Revanth Reddy. He alleged that BJPās One Nation-One Election Policy is a big conspiracy. āIf presidential-style elections are held, the existence of South India will become questionable,ā he added.
āIf KCR is silent, then it looks like the BRS is in favour of the BJP. KCRās stand should be made clear to the people. Congress will fight any changes against the basic tenets of the Constitution,ā said Revanth Reddy.
