Hyderabad: On Tuesday, Telangana Mahila Congress president Sunitha Rao stressed on having more women in leadership roles in the corporations.
She chaired a state executive meeting where she discussed various agendas and strategies that can be included in the manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections that will benefit women from all sections of Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunitha Rao appealed to chief minister A Revanth Reddy to empower women of the state by giving them positions of power in the corporations so that the benefits reach every woman in the state.
āEducate people about six guaranteesā
āAs the Lok Sabha elections are coming up, everyone should work for the partyās victory. Steps should be taken to educate people about the implementation of six guarantees by the Congress government in Telangana,ā Sunitha Rao said.
She also advised the party leaders to appoint the district committees, block committees, division committees, mandal committees, town committees and ward committees at the earliest. Afterwards, Sunitha Rao submitted the profiles of all district presidents and state office bearers to Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Mahesh Kumar Goud.
MLC Balmoor Venkat, All India Mahila Congress general secretary Haseena and other leaders were also present at the meeting.
