TPCC’s Dayakar accuses BJP of blocking BC quota bill, demands MP Eatala’s resignation

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) General Secretary Chanagani Dayakar has demanded the resignation of BJP MP Eatala Rajender, accusing him of acting as a ‘traitor to the Backward Classes (BCs)’ by allegedly working to block the BC reservation bill.

Dayakar further asserted that the BJP has been proven to be the ‘enemy of BCs.’

Rally behind Congress, says Dayakar

Dayakar urged the BC community to rally behind the Congress government and party.

He highlighted that the CM Revanth Reddy-led government has taken a historic decision to implement 42 per cent reservations for BCs, a ‘move unprecedented by any Chief Minister in the erstwhile unified state over the last 75 years.’

Dayakar firmly alleged that the stalling of the BC bill was a conspiracy by the BJP Central government, which has now been proven.

‘Poisonous propaganda by BJP’

He specifically targeted Eatala Rajender, stating that the BJP MP engaged in ‘poisonous propaganda’ even before the notification for local body elections. Dayakar criticised Rajender, saying he revealed his ‘conspiratorial nature’ and ‘bad intent.’

The TPCC General Secretary maintained that the Congress state government acted without any lapse in its efforts to implement the 42 per cent reservations. He questioned why Eatala Rajender and other BJP MPs did not meet the governor to support the bill.

“The state government used every power at its disposal and worked tirelessly for the BC bill,” he asserted.

BJP government misusing power, says TPCC

Dayakar challenged the BJP and BRS parties, asking if they have even an “atom’s worth of sincerity” regarding BC reservations.

He further accused the BJP central government of exercising dominance over the courts, governors, and even the president’s office to halt the bill.

“It has been proven that the BJP is the main enemy of BC reservations. BJP MPs must take primary responsibility for this,” Dayakar stated.

He also reminded the public that the Congress party was responsible for the formation of the separate Telangana State, a feat once deemed unlikely.

Dayakar expressed confidence that the Congress government would implement the 42 per cent reservations in the state. He asked the leaders who are angry with the State government to clarify whether they stand for BCs or the BJP.
