TRS owes no explanation to BJP; will win 99 seats in GHMC polls: MLC Kavitha

Hyderabad: Lambasting Union Minister Prakash Javadekar for his chargesheet remarks, newly elected Nizamabad MLC and daughter of chief minister KCR, Kalvakuntla Kavitha said TRS owes no explanation to the BJP which always follows the template of leveling accusations against other parties where they are not in power.
Javadekar had called for issuing a "chargesheet" against the GHMC which is currently ruled by the TRS.
Kavitha further said TRS is a democratically elected government and leveling such allegations against the party would imply questioning people's mandate.
Former Member of Parliament spoke about the alleged hypocrisy and discrimination by BJP towards the states where it is not in power.
She said that the extent of discrimination could be felt when no additional funding was given to Telangana which was carved only 6 years ago.
"Same was witnessed during floods when the Centre released over Rs 600 crore for Karnataka and nothing was given to Hyderabad. BJP did not support Telangana and its people. In the upcoming GHMC elections, Hyderabad will not support the BJP," she said.
Kavitha said that the people of GHMC will bring the TRS back to power with a greater number and cross the 99 seat mark.
