TS police arrest YS Sharmila, shift her to hospital at midnight
Sharmila was protesting against the TRS government’s decision to deny permission for her Praja Prasthanam padayatra and was on an indefinite fast since Friday morning. She had not even consumed water and her health was deteriorating rapidly.

Hyderabad: YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief Y.S Sharmila who was on an indefinite fast was arrested and taken to Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills in the city around 1 a.m. on Sunday.
Sharmila was protesting against the TRS government's decision to deny permission for her Praja Prasthanam padayatra and was on an indefinite fast since Friday morning. She had not even consumed water and her health was deteriorating rapidly.
Doctors from Apollo Hospitals, who were earlier monitoring her health, said Sharmila's blood pressure and glucose levels have fallen down to alarming levels. They were concerned she could be dehydrated which could lead to electrolyte imbalance, potent enough to pose danger to her kidneys.
The Telangana police forced media personnel and party leaders and cadres to move away from the "deeksha" location before she was forcefully moved out. She is under observation and doctors are monitoring her vitals.
