Varahi Vijaya Yatra: Pawan Kalyan promises to enter Assembly next year, hints at early election

Kathipudi: Janasena Party (JSP) Chief Pawan Kalyan announced that his party will win the election next year and enter Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

On the first day of Varahi Vijaya Yatra, he challenged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to stop him from entering the Assembly this time.

On Wednesday, Pawan Kalyan took his first stop at Kathipudi junction in the Prathipadu Assembly constituency in East Godavari district.

Addressing the rally, Pawan Kalyan said Amaravati will remain the capital of Andhra Pradesh if the Jana Sena party is voted to power in the 2024 election.

“At least 200 farmers who had parted with their land for the capital city of Amaravati died in distress even since the YSRCP government floated the idea of setting up three capitals in the State. YSRCP is the reason for their deaths", said Pawan Kalyan.

He alleged that he lost the elections due to a conspiracy and was "vengefully targeted" so that he could not enter the Assembly.

He asked Jagan Mohan Reddy to rule properly or else he will make the YSR Congress Party chief sit on the floor one day.

Referring to Jagan Mohan Reddy's comments on the 'Class War' in the State, Pawan Kalyan said that it means the rich are exploiting the poor. He compared Jagan Mohan Reddy with Robinhood and George Soro for exploiting the building workers and looting Rs 450 crore from the working classes.

Taking a strong exception against the YSRCP government for ignoring the development in Amaravati, the Janasena Chief said that it was Jagan who supported the capital in Amaravati while he was in opposition. He even suggested the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) acquire 5,000 acres of land from the farmers for a capital city with world-class facilities.

"Why was Jagan Mohan Reddy silent over the issue when he was in the Opposition? He wanted 5,000 acres more for Amaravati and changed his stand on the issue after coming to power," said Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan Kalyan hints on early election

Claiming that Jagan Mohan Reddy is preparing for an early election, Pawan Kalyan said, "Poll may be held in November or December. Jagan is telling stories. But I know he is speaking to the election commission. The youth must vote wisely,"

"I haven't decided whether to go for an alliance or go alone for the upcoming elections. I will soon tell you my decision," Pawan Kalyan added.

Varahi Yatra will be covering important Assembly constituencies in Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, and West Godavari districts in the first phase. He will conclude his yatra at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district, which is one of the two places from where he lost in the 2019 Assembly poll.
