Why Ambedkars name given to Konaseema and not to Kadapa?: Pawan Kalyan

Mangalagiri: "If the state government had renamed the Konaseema region after Dr. BR Ambedkar when all the new districts were renamed, this situation wouldn't have come," said Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. On Wednesday, he addressed the media from the party office at Mangalagiri and responded to the Konaseema violence issue.

Govt should be sensitive while naming districts

He questioned the government on why it is giving Ambedkar's name to Konaseema and why not to Kadapa. "The government, when naming the districts, should treat the process sensitively and be aware of the situations. Krishna district is named in the area where the Krishna river flow is low, and NTR district is named to the area where the water flow is high", Pawan Kalyan added. He asked, "The government had given 30 days to raise any objections. Why didn't the government give such a time when naming other districts? Did the CM give time to raise such violent activities?"

Amalapuram violence

He raised a question about police security when unknown persons attacked Minister Vishwaroop's house; instead, the family members were shifted from the house before the fire incident. According to the Jana Sena chief, the conflicts in the Konaseema region were raised only to divert the issue running over the death of MLC's driver in Kakinada. "Anyam Sai, YSRCP leader, is one of the major persons involved in the Amalapuram violence. Facts are clear, but the government is trying to blame others".
