`Why is Rahul Gandhi silent’: KTR accuses CM Revanth of awarding Rs 1,600 Cr road contract to BJP MP Ramesh
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has accused the Congress and BJP of having a secret political deal in Telangana.
He also questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s silence over Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy allegedly awarded a Rs 1,600 crore road contract to BJP MP CM Ramesh.
‘Rahul silent on Revanth’s favour to BJP MP’
Addressing a student convention marking the merger of Telangana Rashtra Vidyarthi Sainik Parishad into the BRS student wing, KTR said, “The Congress CM hands out massive contracts to BJP MPs. Why is Rahul Gandhi silent on this dangerous alliance?”
Mocks Revanth over Sonia Gandhi's Letter
KTR ridiculed Revanth Reddy for calling Sonia Gandhi’s letter his ‘Oscar and Nobel Prize’. “He couldn’t even read a simple letter properly. Instead of an Oscar, he deserves a Bhaskar Award,” KTR quipped, adding that this raised doubts about Revanth’s educational qualifications.
The letter was just a Regret Note
Revanth Reddy had showcased Sonia Gandhi’s letter while making a presentation on the Telangana caste survey in Delhi on Thursday, claiming it as his lifetime achievement award. However, the letter only conveyed her inability to attend the event.

Congress cheating students, says KTR
Slamming the Congress government’s performance on education, KTR said it had failed to deliver on its promises, calling them “the biggest fraud of the century.”
He listed the unfulfilled assurances, such as Rs 5 lakh education assurance cards, free scooters for girl students, and financial support for higher education aspirants (Rs 5 lakh for PhD scholars, Rs 3 lakh for PG students, Rs 2 lakh for undergraduates). “They promised so much but haven’t released a single rupee,” he alleged.
‘No Government Jobs yet’
KTR also reminded people of the Congress manifesto promise to provide 2 lakh government jobs within a year. “Not one notification has been issued. Revanth is just distributing offer letters for recruitments completed under the BRS government,” he claimed.
