While campaigning for the TRS at Gandhinagar on 26 November, the TRS leader and former MP questioned the BJP government's silence and asked why it did not celebrate the legacy of P.V Narasimha Rao during the centenary celebrations conducted by the TRS government.
What is stopping the Central government from awarding the Bharat Ratna to our late former Prime Minister P.V Narasimha Rao? she asked, adding, Central governments have never cared to confer the country's highest civilian award to either PVR or former Chief Minister N.T Ramarao even after a long-standing demand for the same.
The MLA and daughter of Chief Minister KCR said the BJP never speaks on issues that contribute to the overall development of the society like the falling GDP and instead sticks to using the religion card. Kavitha urged the people of Greater Hyderabad not to fall prey to such political stunts of national parties and appealed to the people to vote for development.
Kavitha also questioned Union minister Kishan Reddy's latest move of granting immediate flood relief of Rs. 4,700 crores to six states even before receiving estimates from the respective states. She also slammed BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar for his political stunt regarding PVR's ghat.
During the day, she also met representatives of RTC Union, advocates, and members of the Vaishya and Yadava communities who extended their support to the TRS in the upcoming GHMC elections.
