Hyderabad: Seemingly pressing BJP's raw nerve, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi challenged the Modi government to carry out a surgical strike in Depsang Plains in Ladakh where the Chinese army have allegedly captured 920 square kilometers of land.

"I am challenging the BJP government to conduct a surgical strike against China. They have captured 920 square km of our land. PM Modi is afraid of taking the name of China. We will support you if you throw PLA out. They have killed our 20 soldiers. You are afraid of taking your own land from China. Now they are saying they want to do surgical strike in the old city," said Owaisi.

On Tuesday, BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that they will conduct a surgical strike in Old City. "Once BJP candidate becomes Mayor, we will conduct surgical strikes in the Old City and throw out all Rohingyas. All Rohingyas and Pakistani nationals would be chased out from our area," he said while campaigning in the Old City.

The AIMIM chief asked PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to come clean on the `Pakistanis in Hyderabad' jibe. "For the election, you cannot defame Hyderabad and its people. People of Hyderabad will give a befitting reply to BJP's hatred," he said.

Criticizing BJP for failing to come to the rescue of Hyderabad during recent flooding, Owaisi the central government didn't release a single penny for the city. "In Karnataka, Modi gave crores of rupees. But they did not release a single penny for Hyderabad. They are just saying there are Pakistanis in the old city," he said.

Hyderabad MP said that investment worth crores of rupees have come to Hyderabad. "Software industries have been established in the city. Amazon's biggest office has come up in Hyderabad. The city is progressing. BJP wants to spread hatred in the city," he said.

Owaisi said they are trying to unite people, but BJP is trying to create hatred. "This is our land also. During the independence movement, BJP and RSS did not play any role. In fact, they were just flattering the Britishers. Alongside Mahatma Gandhi, there was Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad who fought for the freedom of this country," he said.

Responding to Tejasvi Surva, who said 'vote for AIMIM means a vote against the country', he invited BJYM chief to visit Alhamdulillah hotel for 'beef biryani'.
