Will KCR attend the swearing-in ceremony of HC Chief Justice?

Hyderabad: Speculations are rife in political circles about whether Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Telangana High Court Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan on 28 June.

This comes as KCR has been away from Raj Bhavan for some time due to the differences between him and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.

So, will KCR attend the event?

There are two important events in the city on 28 June – the swearing-in of the Chief Justice of the High Court at Raj Bhavan and the inauguration of the second phase of the T-Hub building.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will swear in the new Chief Justice, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan. According to the Constitution, the Governor administers the oath of office to the Chief Justice.

Earlier, when Hima Kholi was administered the oath as the Chief Justice of the High Court, KCR had attended the swearing-in ceremony. Will he be there tomorrow is the question.

According to protocol, High Court judges, Chief Ministers, state ministers, the chief secretary to the government, the DGP, and other senior officials are required to attend the event.

Will KCR attend the inauguration ceremony of the second phase of T-Hub on 28 June? The building was earlier advertised to be inaugurated by industries and IT minister KTR.

Political sources expect that the CM will miss the Chief Justice's swearing-in ceremony at the Raj Bhavan, strategically attending the T-Hub inaugural function. It is learned that the Governor has not been invited to the inauguration.

28 June will be a day to watch out for.
