YS Sharmila resumes her ‘Praja prastana’ padayatra from Narsampet, Warangal, on Feb 2.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 2 Feb 2023 8:39 AM GMTHyderabad: Hyderabad: YSR Telangana Party chief Y S Sharmila on Thursday dared chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to walk along with her for 3 kms to know the plight of people in Telangana. She threw this challenge at KCR before embarking on the last leg of her 'Praja Prasthanam' padayatra.
She also showed the walking shoes which she had brought for him. Sharmila was standing with her party workers at her residence. "KCR has failed to fulfill any of the promises he made to the people of Telangana. For the past nine years, there is no section in the state that has not suffered in this autocratic and inefficient rule", she said.
Sharmila alleged that from farmers' plight to the youth's distress, women's issues to education, KCR has failed to keep every promise he made.
"When we tried to expose his failures and corruption, our padayatra was ruthlessly attacked. Today, I challenge the chief minister to walk with us for a full day, and if you show us that every person in the state is happy and has no problems for you to solve, then I will withdraw from politics. I'm giving this brand new pair of shoes to walk in.", she stated.
YS Sharmila resumes her ‘Praja prastana’ padayatra from Narsampet, Warangal, on Feb 2. Sharmila walked 3,500km, and it was in Narsampet that she had stopped her padayatra midway through it after an attack on her convoy. Warangal police have granted permission to Sharmila for her padayatra to be held from February 2 to February 18 with a few conditions. They asked her to begin her padayatra at 10 am and end at 7 pm daily. The padayatra will conclude in the Palair Assembly constituency of Khammam district.
