YSRCP MP Vijayasai's family has links to Delhi liquor scam: TDP
Mr. Ananda Sagar said, "the CBI has already exposed the involvement of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife Bharathi in the Delhi liquor scam"
By Newsmeter Network Published on 3 Sep 2022 2:08 PM GMTVijayawada: TDP official spokesman Moka Ananda Sagar on 3 September alleged that YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy's family has close connections with the Delhi liquor scam. Ananda Sagar said Vijayasai is involved in adulterated liquor sales in the name of his son-in-law. He said that not even a single distillery is operating from the addresses mentioned in the name of Adaan Distilleries.
The total transactions of Vijayasai Reddy's Adaan Distilleries are a whopping Rs. 5,000 crores till now, the TDP spokesman said and added that the CBI has already concluded that of this, Rs. 2,000 crores have been paid as Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) to Trident Life Sciences. The CBI in its charge sheet said that Trident Life Sciences is the fifth accused in the Delhi liquor scam and it invested crores of rupees in Jagathi Publications, Mr. Ananda Sagar said. The CBI has already exposed the involvement of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's wife Bharathi in the Delhi liquor scam, he said, and added that Trident Life Sciences is already facing charges in Jagan's illegal assets case.
"This is a clear indication that the Delhi liquor scam case revolves around Jagan and Vijayasai Reddy," he said. Stating that during Jagan's three-year rule, the state saw lootings and atrocities, the TDP leader said Jagan came to power by promising total prohibition but is now minting money through liquor sales. At least 5,000 persons lost their lives in the state by consuming adulterated liquor, he added.
Jagan wants to spend the amount he has earned to come back to power again. The TDP will not allow such scamsters and will fight till justice is done to the people of the state, he maintained. Pointing out that Jagan has ordered a ban on plastic in Visakhapatnam, Mr. Ananda Sagar said the TDP is challenging him to ban liquor in the state. He challenged Jagan and other YSRCP leaders to respond to the revelations made by the TDP on the Delhi liquor scam. Further, he alleged that unable to face the charges, the state government indulged in shameful acts against TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Kuppam and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh when he visited Palasa. The YSRCP government is misusing police forces and the law enforcement agencies are also acting like YSRCP agents, he alleged.
The TDP will expose the misdeeds of the ruling party and will defeat Jagan in the upcoming elections, he said. Stating that the state is completely in the doldrums as the youth have no employment and women are subjected to various kinds of atrocities, he called upon the TDP activists to work hard to bring back the democratic rule of Chandrababu Naidu and put an end to the Jagan's dictatorship. The state will progress only if Mr. Naidu comes back to power, he added.
