If they want Opposition status, they can go to Germany, mock deputy CM
Noting that the status of Opposition is not granted based on demand, deputy CM Pawan Kalyan further said that the Opposition status is not given by him or chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, but by rules, regulations and norms.
“People did not give Opposition status to the YSRCP which got 11 seats. The party with the highest majority will form the government and the next biggest party will be granted the Opposition status. However, Jana Sena, which is a part of the ruling NDA alliance is the second-largest party with 21 seats. If they want Opposition status by vote percentage they can go to Germany,” the Jana Sena chief said.
Launching a scathing attack on the YSRCP for their behaviour during governor S Abdul Nazeer’s address, deputy CM Pawan Kalyan criticised YSRCP leaders who allegedly tore his speech copies. He also condemned the act as ‘inappropriate’ and urged them to maintain the decorum in the Assembly.
