Ponnala Laxmaiah and grandson escape unhurt as van rams into their car at Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former minister Ponnala Laxmaiah and his grandson escaped unhurt in an accident at Jubilee Hills check post junction on Monday. A van, used for outdoor movie shoots, rammed into Laxmaiah’s vehicle.

Inquiries revealed that the van driver lost control due to over speeding, resulting in the accident. Though the bonnet of Laxmaiah’s car was damaged entirely, the leader and his grandson were safe, including the van driver.

Police, along with traffic personnel, rushed to the spot and cleared vehicles off the road to ensure a free flow of traffic. Meanwhile, a case was registered against the van driver for rash driving.
