There have been 176 infiltration bids from across the border since August 5, 2019, when parliament abrogated the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

A robust surveillance system is in place including equipment, strengthening of the intelligence network, erection of border fencing & floodlighting, and deployment of technological solutions in non-feasible areas like riverine gaps,” the MHA said.
