Postponed Class X exams will be conducted in compliance with HC guidelines: KCR

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Tuesday, said that the state education department would soon conduct the postponed Secondary School Certificate(SSC) examinations in compliance with High Court directions. The SSC exams in the state were earlier postponed due to nationwide lockdown in view of Coronavirus Pandemic.

While addressing a press conference on MAy 5th, at Pragati Bhavan, CM KCR said, "Pending examinations of the SSC board will be held soon duly by following all precautionary measures. Physical distancing will be strictly enforced during the examination and officials will make sure that only 15-20 students are seated in one class room during the exams. Required sanitisers would also be arranged at the examination centres for hygiene of students. We will also provide masks to all the students and all the examination centres will be sanitized ".

Telangana SSC examination was earlier scheduled from March 19, 2020 to April 6,2020. The first three subjects were conducted as per schedule however the rest were postponed following the nationwide Lockdown, announced on March 22,2020. SSC students still have to appear for eight more exams for which a fresh schedule will be announced soon.

The CM further added, Telangana Intermediate Paper evaluation which was kept in hold due to lockdown, to begin from May 6,2020. The schedule for next academic calendar will be decided soon, he added.

The Chief Minister assured that special buses will be arranged to ferry students during the SSC exams. The fresh dates for SSC exam will be announced in a day or two, he added.
