Pregnant woman found dead

Hyderabad: The body of a pregnant woman and the fetus from her womb were found in a completely charred condition at Parigi of Vikarabad district in Telangana. The woman could be in her mid-20s said, police officials.

The incident was reported at Rangampally village of Parigi Mandal in the district. Police suspect that the body was set ablaze on Wednesday midnight. However, the exact cause of death will only be known after receiving the postmortem report.

Police suspect that the woman became pregnant from an illegal affair and her partner could have killed her as she pressurized him for marriage. There are chances that she might have died while undergoing an abortion also and her partner wanting to wash his hands off from the situation, dumped her body at the spot and set it on fire. Special teams have been formed to trace the victim's identity and to nab her killers.
