Prof. S.A. Kori appointed V-C of Central University of AP, Anantapur

Kori of Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Bengaluru, as the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Anantapur, as per the Statute 2 of The Central University Act, 2009 for a term of five years from the date of his joining the office until he attains the age of 70 years. Prof. Kori is currently the executive director for Karnataka State Higher Education Council.
Professor Kori has a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Earlier, he worked as a registrar and special officer for Visvesvarayya Technology University, Belgaum, and 195 of his research papers were published in national and international journals.
Till now, Professor Apparao Podile has been the Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Andhra Pradesh. The Central University of Andhra Pradesh which was established by the Act of Parliament in 2018-2019 was controlled by the University of Hyderabad as there was no designated Vice-Chancellor exclusively for the University of Andhra Pradesh.
