The video starts with the narration of a Sanskrit sloka from the Natyasastra.
“Yatho Hasta thatho Drishti
Yatho Drishti thatho Manah
Yatho Manah thatho Bhaava
Yatho Bhaava thatho Rasa.”
Translation: “Where the Hands are, go the Eyes
Where the Eyes are, goes the Mind
Where the Mind is, goes the Soul
Where the Soul is, goes Essence.”
The IFFI 2019 Anthem features different ‘rasas’ of acting from the most popular movies of the world. The anthem’s video features glimpses of various emotions such as love, laughter, anger, compassion, disgust, horror, courage, surprise, and peace.
A few glimpses from Indian movies like Sholay, Bajirao Mastani, Tare Zameen Par, Haider and many other classic films are included in the IFFI 2019 anthem. It is important to note that short glimpses from the Telugu movie Baahubali are also included in more than one category of the above ‘rasas’.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali, which stars Prabhas, Anushka, Rana Daggubati, and Ramya Krishna, has found international acclamation. Now that the movie’s scenes are included in the prestigious IFFI anthem, it can be termed as another feather in the hat for the makers.
