Following a tip-off, the sleuths of the special operations team, Malkajgiri zone, organized a decoy operation at Vayupuri under the Neredmet police station limits. They were helped by the local police. The officers arrested Shiva, who was involved in online human trafficking in Hyderabad, Rachakonda, and other areas, and rescued two victims. The police also seized two mobile phones from his possession. The kingpin behind the prostitution racket, Chinna, is absconding.
Chinna, a resident of Karimnagar, and Shiva, who is from Mahaboobnagar, were in contact with human traffickers from West Bengal, Mumbai, and other parts of the country. They were getting the girls from these sources on a contract basis for six months to a year. They lured the victims by promising them jobs. Then they were brought to Hyderabad where they were forced into prostitution.
Both Chinna and Shiva had rented a house at Dilsukhnagar and brought two young girls from West Bengal. They had uploaded their photos on social media to attract customers. The duo would take the girls to the customerās residence after the money was transferred to their accounts. They charged between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 8,000 from each customer.
During interrogation, Shiva confessed that they were running an online human trafficking racket for the past couple of months and bringing young girls from various parts of the country, mostly from West Bengal, and paying them a meager amount.
Shiva and the two victims were handed over to the Neredmet police. The police are trying to nab Chinna.
