It was earlier reported that a High Court lawyer named Balaji and Indrasena Chowdary lodged a complaint against the release of the controversial political drama.
Taking the case filed against the release of Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu into consideration, Telangana HC ordered the Censor Board of Film Certification to cancel the certification for the movie’s release. As per orders by a High Court Commission, Ram Gopal Varma’s film has been denied a censorship certification. Therefore, the release of the controversial political drama has been ceased.
Ram Gopal Varma had submitted the movie for a censorship certification days before the movie’s release. Meanwhile, Indrasena filed a petition against Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu for showing some of the prominent personalities in a derogatory way. Therefore, the Censor Board was reluctant to give certification for the film’s release.
Ram Gopal Varma later approached the court to fast track the censor process, but the Telangana High Court decided to cease the certification instead. Even though such controversies are not new to the Company director, it seems Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu’s ban has made its makers upset.
Evangelist KA Paul, who played a significant role in politics during elections, had also filed a complaint against Ram Gopal Varma citing defamation. He claimed that Ram Gopal Varma had created a character in Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu, in such a way that it ridicules him.
