2 industrial hubs inaugurated in Kadapa; 18 MSMEs to launch operations

2 industrial hubs inaugurated in Kadapa; 18 MSMEs to launch operations

Kadapa: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday inaugurated two industrial clusters at Kopparthy here. These facilities will bring an investment of Rs. 1,052 crores in the district and generate over 14,803 jobs, the CM said.

YSR Jagananna Mega Industrial Hub and YSR Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) will house several electronic manufacturing companies, solar companies, MSMEs, and industrial associations. They will have facilities like ready to occupy sheds and plots, electricity, and roads.

"These facilities will enable industrial growth, attract investment and improve industrial infrastructure in Kadapa, thereby contributing to the development of the state economy," Jagan said.

A total of 18 MSMEs are launching their operations, investing over Rs. 84.3 crores, and generating 1,192 jobs, he added.

Major investors

United Telelinks Neolyncs India Pvt. Ltd. (UNTPL) will soon roll out mobile phones, chargers, and other components from its YSR EMC factory, providing employment opportunities to about 500 people with a dedicated investment of over Rs. 112 crores.

AIL Dixon Technologies will manufacture security surveillance systems, digital video recorders, laptops, and tablets with a total investment of Rs. 207 crore, generating employment opportunities for about 3,000 people.

Celkon Resolute Electronics LLP will invest Rs. 50 crores to employ over 1,100 people in their plant that will manufacture smartphones, mobile handsets, tablets, PC accessories, setup boxes, and GPON devices.

Digiconn Solutions will develop a manufacturing facility by investing Rs. 50 crores for the production and manufacturing of televisions, laptops, and IoT devices. It will employ over 1,200 people.

Chandrahas Enterprises is setting up a manufacturing plant in YSR EMC to produce power banks, cables, chargers, headphones, digital boards and accessories, and speakers. It will employ over 1,320 people and invest over Rs. 110 crores.

The state government said it is committed to promoting industries and in the last year alone, it approved 14 mega projects with an Investment Intent of Rs. 29,458 crores with the potential to create employment for 60,002 people. Apart from this, about 53 large and mega-companies are under active implementation with a total investment of Rs. 33,162 crore and with a potential to create employment to 81,068 people, it said.
