ACB arrests Endowments official Kalingiri Santhi in DA case; Volkswagen Polo, gold among seizures
The investigation was initiated to probe allegations that the officer had amassed wealth disproportionate to her legal income.

Vijayawada: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Assistant Commissioner of Endowments Kalingiri Santhi in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case after allegedly uncovering assets far exceeding her known sources of income.
Police tipped off by allegations
Acting on credible information, ACB officials of the Vijayawada Range registered a case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018).
The investigation was initiated to probe allegations that the officer had amassed wealth disproportionate to her legal income.
Simultaneous searches at Tadepalli and Undavalli villages
As part of the investigation, ACB teams conducted simultaneous searches at four locations in Tadepalli and Undavalli villages on Tuesday, including the residence of the accused. Officials seized several incriminating documents related to properties and assets.
Assets worth lakhs unearthed
During the searches, the ACB reportedly identified and seized significant assets, including:
- A residential flat at Yendada in Visakhapatnam
- A G+2 building at Kunchanapalli, Tadepalli
- Around 770 grams of gold ornaments and 3 kg of silver articles
- Cash of approximately Rs 1.15 lakh and bank balance of about Rs 3 lakh
- A Volkswagen Polo car and a motorcycle
- Electronic gadgets and valuable household items
Further searches are still underway, officials said.
Following due procedure, Santhi was arrested and is being produced before the Special Court for ACB cases in Vijayawada.
Service background
Santhi was appointed as Assistant Commissioner of Endowments through APPSC in 2020. She has served in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. She remained under suspension from July 2024 to March 2026 and was awaiting posting at the time of her arrest.
