Bangalore: Telugu actors Jr. NTR and Kalyan Ram visited their cousin and actor-turned-TDP leader Nandmuri Taraka Ratna at Narayana Hrudalaya hospital in Bangalore. Taraka Ratna suffered a cardiac arrest during Nara Lokesh’s padayatra at Kuppam. His family members who are at the hospital are worried about his health and are hoping for his speedy recovery.

On Sunday, the actor’s cousins Jr. NTR and Kalyan Ram and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar visited the hospital. Karnataka health minister K. Sudhakar received the Telugu actors at the airport.

Speaking to the media, actor Jr. NTR said, “Though Taraka Anna's condition is critical, he is responding positively to the treatment. We are hoping he will soon recover and come back home.” According to Taraka Ratna’s family members, the doctors will do a few more tests on Monday. They have been asked to wait till Monday for further check and update on his health.

In a health bulletin released on Saturday, authorities of Narayana Hrudayala said Taraka Ratna’s condition remains critical. “He was found to have an anterior wall myocardial infarction with balloon angioplasty on intra-aortic balloon pump (ABP) and vasoactive support. On arriving at NH, higher level diagnostics showed that his condition was highly critical due to the cardiogenic shock after the myocardial infarction, and evaluation of his condition will continue with treatment under standard guidelines and protocols.”

Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh who is currently on his 4,000-km padayatra, ‘Yuva Galam,’ penned an emotional note on Twitter, praying for Taraka Ratna’s speedy recovery. “I’ve always shared a very close bond with cousin Tarakarathna. Really broke my heart to see him suffer a massive heart attack. I met him recently and had a long chat about life, movies and politics,” the TDP leader wrote.
