Amaravati: On Thursday, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu declared that the State government has given the highest priority to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and announced that Rs 100 crores will be allocated as a credit guarantee for MSMEs.

He wanted farmers to share in the MSME parks in the respective areas and the farmers who own lands can set up such parks in their lands to benefit the farmers on the lines of forming Amaravati.

He said that the State government would encourage them for seeking employment opportunities.

Chairing a review meeting at the State Secretariat on MSMEs and the Department of Food Processing, the chief minister felt that if the State government properly encouraged MSMEs, the most favourable results could be achieved through this sector. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the sector which has faced several challenges will certainly be brought back on track by adopting some new policies.

The chief minister said that the MSME parks that have been pending for a long will be completed very soon and will be provided with all the necessary facilities.

When the officials informed CM Naidu that a similar system was in existence in Pune, the chief minister directed them to study the policy and implement it in a better manner. The chief minister also told the officials to make the policy easy to sanction permission for establishing industries. ā€œBring in a policy through which the permission can be sanctioned automatically if it is delayed beyond a specific time,ā€ he said.

The chief minister also directed the officials to interlink Dwcra groups with MSMEs and felt the need to release the incentives to industries pending since long. The Auto Nagars should be modernised so that service facilities can be provided even to electric vehicles.

CM Chandrababu is of the opinion that the food processing industry has great opportunities in the State and the industry can get more profits through horticulture and aquaculture products. He felt that organic farming products will have great demand in future and told the officials to encourage organic farming. The ministers and the officials of the departments concerned participated in the review meetings.
