Andhra creates two new districts, five revenue divisions; check details

Amaravati : The State government has completed the process of forming new districts and revenue divisions.
The new administrative units will start functioning from Wednesday at the district headquarters.
Appointments of District Collectors, Joint Collectors, Superintendents of Police, Additional SPs, Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs), and supporting staff have already begun.
Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) G Sai Prasad issued orders on Tuesday detailing additions and changes across various regions, including the creation of two new districts and five new revenue divisions. He also directed that the changes be notified through a gazette.
New Revenue Divisions:
Addroddu Junction in Anakapalle district
Addanki in Prakasam district
Peeleru in Annamayya district
Madakasira in Sri Sathya Sai district
Railway Kodur shifted to Tirupati :
The Railway Kodur Assembly constituency, earlier part of Annamayya district, has been brought under Tirupati district. The mandals of Kodur, Penagalur, Chitvelu, Pullampeta, and Obulavaripalle will now fall under the Tirupati revenue division.
Rajampet merged with YSR Kadapa :
The Rajampet Assembly constituency and revenue division, hitherto in Annamayya district, have been merged with YSR Kadapa district. While Ontimitta and Siddavatam mandals were already part of the Kadapa revenue division, the Rajampet revenue division will now include Nandaluru, Rajampet, Veeraballi, and T. Sundupalli mandals. With this reorganisation, YSR Kadapa district will now have a total of five revenue divisions.
Mandapet constituency to East Godavari:
The Mandapet Assembly constituency, which was until now in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, has been shifted to East Godavari district. The Mandapet, Rayavaram, and Kapileswarapuram mandals will be transferred from the Ramachandrapuram revenue division to the Rajamahendravaram revenue division.
Changes in Prakasam and Nellore districts :
The Addanki Assembly constituency, earlier part of the Bapatla district, has been merged with the Prakasam district, where Addanki has been constituted as a new revenue division. This division will cover the Addanki and Darsi constituencies.
Further, the Sripotti Sriramulu Nellore district’s Kandukur constituency will be merged with the Prakasam district, along with its revenue division. The mandals of the Gudur constituency will be transferred from Tirupati district and merged into Nellore district.
The government said the reorganisation aims to streamline administration and improve service delivery across the State.
