Andhra Pradesh: 25000 schools, 468 junior colleges to be set up in Nadu-Nedu phase-2

By Newsmeter Network Published on 14 April 2022 2:37 AM GMTAmaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said 25000 schools and 468 junior colleges are being set up at an expenditure of Rs 11,267 crore in the second phase of Nadu-Nedu. Chairing a review meeting of the education department, he directed the authorities to speed up the work. "Each Mandal will have two intermediate colleges, of which one should be for women", he said.
Chief Minister instructed the authorities to get ready for Jagananna Vidya Kanuka and take steps to provide kits to the students. Officials informed that the total expenditure has increased to Rs 960 crore. It is Rs 200 crore more than last year. They assured the chief minister that kits were ready.
Regarding New Education Policy (NEP), CM directed the authorities to start the process of rolling out six types of schools in a phased manner starting July 2022. He stated that the subject-wise teacher placement programme should also be undertaken in line with the categorization of schools and completed by July 2024. "Every high school and high school plus school must be affiliated to CBSE ", he added.

Officials informed him that SOP have been prepared for women police. They said women cops would be creating awareness on safety in schools and colleges besides educating the students about Disha App.
