Andhra Pradesh: Seven killed and 13 injured in three road accidents

Three persons died when a driver of a speedy tomato-laden carrier lost balance and rammed into a two-wheeler near Gopalapuram of Ravulapalem Mandal in the East Godavari district. All three persons on the bike died on the spot.

Andhra Pradesh: Seven killed and 13 injured in three road accidents

Vijayawada: Seven persons were killed in three separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.

Three persons died when a driver of a speedy tomato-laden carrier lost balance and rammed into a two-wheeler near Gopalapuram of Ravulapalem Mandal in the East Godavari district. All three persons on the bike died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Sateesh, 21, Surender, 21, and Chanti, 20, all native of Gopalapuram. Police have shifted the bodies to the government hospital for post mortem.

Two persons died and seven others suffered injuries when a speedy lorry hit an auto-rickshaw near Latchaiahpeta Sugar Factory in Bobbili Mandal of Vizianagaram district.

The incident occurred when the auto-rickshaw with nine-person on board collided with a speedy lorry coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased were identified as V Sai Pradeep, an engineering student and the driver of the auto-rickshaw K Ramu. The injured were shifted to the government hospital. The condition of the two injured is said to be critical.

In the third accident, two persons died on the spot and six others suffered injuries when a four-wheeler hit a parked lorry near Mokshagundam in Prakasam district.

The incident took place when the four-wheeler vehicle was transporting a body from Hyderabad. The injured persons were admitted to the local hospital.

Police said over-speeding and drowsiness were the major reasons for the three fatal accidents in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
