By Newsmeter Network Published on 20 May 2021 11:00 AM ISTVijayawada: Lambasting TDP for boycotting Assembly session, Andhra Pradesh government chief whip G Srikanth Reddy said they will conduct the business in compliance with Covid-19 protocol.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the MLA said that the government was ready to discuss any issue, but the opposition TDP is enacting drama to avoid discussions on public matters.
He said that Chandrababu Naidu could have cited Covid as an issue and boycotted the session instead of defaming the government. The state government has been taking effective measures to control Covid right from increasing testing centers to establishing Covid Care Centers in all constituencies.
The MLA questioned whether the steps being taken against the pandemic were not visible to Chandrababu.
Further, Srikanth Reddy stated that Chandrababu Naidu has completely neglected the health care system during his rule. He said that the state government has been taking measures from time to time. He said they have been writing to the Centre seeking more oxygen quota.
He slammed Naidu for making irresponsible remarks against the State government and creating panic among the public. He said they have no objection to purchasing vaccines from the manufacturers but the control of vaccine supply is still with the Centre.
On Raghurama's arrest, he said that MP is working under the direction of Chandrababu, who has been conspiring to destabilize the government. He said that CID had registered a case against Raghurama and presented him before the court, with no involvement of the government.
But the TDP leaders are unnecessarily drawing flak over his arrest, although the Medical Board was constituted as per the directions of the High Court. He said Raghurama had enacted a drama soon after his bail petition was rejected.
Two of the TDP leaders Atchennaidu and Dhulipalla Narendra were also arrested by the police but none complained of being assaulted by unlike Raghurama.
He said in the past Chandrababu had filed the same treason cases against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao under section 124A for cash for vote case. He also filed cases against MLA Giddi Eswari.
