AP govt high school headmaster's son bags 28th rank in UPSC exam

A student of NIT Warangal, Bharadwaj has lived both rural and urban lives – he comes from a rural area and worked in an MNC. He wanted to do something for the society and therefore started preparing for the IAS exams. He got a rank on his fifth attempt.

AP govt high school headmasters son bags 28th rank in UPSC exam

Visakhapatnam: The IAS 2021 results were announced on Monday and Mantri Mourya Bharadwaj from Narsipatnam in Andhra Pradesh is one of the state toppers (all-India rank 28). Excited to hear the news, the 28-year-old said he was inspired by his parents who are government employees.

His father Satya Prasad works as a headmaster in a government high school and his mother Radha Kumari is a pharmacist in a government hospital.

"I quit my job and started preparing for the civil service exams. But after two-three attempts, I returned to my job and continued preparing. There were times when I gave up but my parents always supported me. They did not want me to step back," said Bharadwaj. For him, this achievement is a way to do something good for society.

CM congratulates rankers

Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated Yashwant Kumar Reddy who secured 15th rank in the civil service exams and other rankers from the Telugu states. He also congratulated P. Sahithya (rank 24), Sruthi Rajyalakshmi (25), Ravi Kumar (38), and K. Kiranmayi, Panigrahi Kartik, G. Sudhir Kumar Reddy, Shailaja, Sivanandam, and A. Naresh who were among the 685 successful candidates.
