Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has issued an order to revise the stipend of internees (house surgeons), postgraduates (degree and diploma), and students pursuing super specialty and MDS courses in government medical colleges, including dental colleges. The stipends have been increased by nearly 15%.
The order comes after the director of medical education, Vijayawada furnished a proposal to hike stipends for medical health professionals.
The revised stipends will be effective from 1 January 2022.
The Telangana government last hiked the stipend for various medical professionals on 18 May 2021.
