AP sees 1,257 new COVID-19 cases; highest in Chittoor

Hyderabad: Visakhapatnam and Chittoor districts reported the highest COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. The state saw 1,257 new cases of which the highest (254) was reported in Chittoor followed by Visakhapatnam (196).

Andhra Pradesh is seeing a rise in daily COVID-19 cases. On 8 January, a total of 839 cases were reported in the state. The majority of the cases are seen in Chittoor and Visakhapatnam districts.

The total active cases in Andhra Pradesh stands at 4,774 as of Sunday. Till now, a total of 20,78,964 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state.
