AP sees 70% rise in COVID-19 cases; TPR at 18.38%

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh saw a 70% increase in COVID-19 cases on 18 January and reported 6,996 new cases. It had reported 4,108 cases on 17 January.

According to a release by the state command control room, four people died of the virus in the last 24 hours, of these two were from Visakhapatnam, one from Chittoor, and one person was from Nellore.

The state collected 38,055 samples in the last 24 hours. The TPR in the state stood at 18.38% on January 18.
