Amaravati: In view of the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh, the subordinate courts in the state, including tribunals and labour courts working under the High Court, will shift to virtual mode from 17 January.

The decision was taken in view of the alarming rise in COVID-19 and Omicron cases.

As per the guidelines, judges of subordinate courts shall function while strictly maintaining COVID-19 protocols. Witness action and trial proceedings shall be deferred, judges shall function from the court precincts, and existing procedures with regard to the filing of cases shall continue.
