AP's Rythu Sadhikara Samstha bags international award at UN conference in Egypt

Amaravati: Adding another feather to its crown, Andhra Pradesh's Rythu Sadhikara Samstha (RySS) bagged the prestigious 'Future Economy Leadership Award' for 2022 at the Conference of Parties (CoP27) organised by the United Nations in Egypt.

RySS received global recognition for its services in promoting organic and natural farming in Andhra Pradesh. For the unversed, RySS is implementing the principles designed by Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) with the encouragement of the state government.

On the organisation's behalf, Vijay Kumar, who is a pioneer in regenerative agriculture, addressed the two-day seminar organised by SEKEM at CoP27 on 5 and 6 November.

Earlier, in September, RySS had bagged the pan-India award (Jaivik India Awards) at the Organic Food Indian Contest 2022 for its exceptional performance in promoting natural farming practices.
