Baby abduction case: Prakasam police recover 5DO girl, arrest three
A five-day-old infant was abducted from the Government Hospital in Markapuram of Prakasam district on Saturday.

It may be recalled that a five-day-old infant was abducted from the Government Hospital in Markapuram of Prakasam district on Saturday.
Police said on August 24, E Komali from the Malyavantampadu village was admitted to the Government Hospital in Markapuram for delivery.
After the delivery, the doctors observed that the baby girl was suffering from jaundice and started phototherapy.
Except for doctors and nurses, no one was allowed to enter the phototherapy room.
On Saturday, the doctors informed the relatives that they were discharging the mother and baby. They asked her husband Sriramulu to make arrangements for the discharge.
In the meantime, a burka-clad woman approached the staff at the phototherapy room introducing herself as the relative of a mother. She said the staff to hand over the baby as the doctor wants to explain some procedures to her mother.
Based on the complaint from the parents, Prakasam district police led by SP Malika Garg formed special teams to investigate the case and trace the abducted baby.
With the help of the CCTV footage, police finally nabbed the kidnapper D Rehana (26) and rescued the baby girl.
Investigation has revealed that Rehana sold that baby girl to her relative D Haleeema (33) through Shaik Rahamathunnisa Begam (34) for Rs 50,000
Police also arrested Haleema and Rahamathunnisa Begam and recovered the cash.
Police chief Malika Garg said that they have solved the sensational case within 10 hours after the incident. She appreciated her team for solving the case.
