Tirumala: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has pitched for building five thousand Venkateswara Swamy temples in Andhra Pradesh

He also called for constructing Sri Venkateswara Swamy temples across the states and countries to highlight the greatness of the Lord. He said the temples should be built in those places that are inhabited by the Telugu population.

Naidu also noted that Annadanam programs should be organized in all the temples being maintained by TTD.

The Chief Minister and his wife Bhuvaneswari presented Pattu Vastram to Lord Venkateswara on the occasion of Brahmotsavams. Minister for Endowments Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, TTD Chairman BR Naidu, and Executive Officer Anilkumar Singhal accompanied the Chief Minister.

Speaking with TTD members, the Chief Minister said the Annadanam program was launched by NT Rama Rao when he became Chief Minister for the first time.

The corpus fund for Annadanam stands at Rs 2283 crore, and the Rs 12 crore interests generated from the corpus fund are being spent every month for Annadanam. He said

Srivani Trust has deposits of Rs 2306 crore.

"Sri Venkateswara Swamy temples should be constructed in all states. Rs 688 crore is lying with the Pranadanam trust, and it should be utilized for rendering medical and health services. Also, a full-fledged network should be built with the Srivari Sevaks," said Naidu.

Minister Nara Lokesh, his wife Brahmani, and son Devansh accompanied the Chief Minister.


Cultural troupes enthrall devotees :

As part of the ongoing annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams of Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala, on Wednesday evening, Sri Srinivasa Swamy blessed devotees in a grand procession on the mighty Pedda Sesha Vahanam along the four Mada Streets.

On this occasion, 19 cultural troupes hailing from various states across the country enthralled devotees with their vibrant performances, adding grandeur to the event.

Maharashtra, Assam, West Bengal, Tripura, and the rich cultural ethos of Bengal, besides Southern states and Pondicherry, performed spectacular art forms.

In total, 19 cultural troupes comprising 472 artists from these states provided a visual and spiritual treat for the devotees waiting in galleries.
