Cash-for-vote scam: Botsa flays investigating agencies for not naming Naidu in chargesheet

Vijayawada: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana lambasted investigating agencies for not naming TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in the cash-for-vote chargesheet.

"It's strange that investigating agencies did not name Chandrababu Naidu in the cash for vote chargesheet. It's surprising that the involvement of Naidu was not acknowledged by investigating agencies," he told reporters.

Botsa played videos and audios of former TDP MLA Revanth Reddy distributing money and Naidu speaking over the phone that he was briefed regarding the matter. "Naidu can circumvent the system but not people's court. He will be prosecuted in people's court," he said.

Flaying TDP's `Digital Mahanadu', he said it was limited to praise Chandrababu Naidu and criticize Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

"While Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has followed the footsteps of former Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy and fulfilled nearly 99 percent of the promises in two years, TDP has been spreading false propaganda against the state government," he said.

The Minister criticized TDPs for demanding Bharat Ratna to N T Rama Rao. He said Naidu didn't try for it when he was Chief Minister for 14 years. He said TDP didn't play its role as an opposition in the last two years but confined to politics of religion and caste.
