Amaravati: Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi on Thursday met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Tadepalli camp office. Speaking to the media, Chiranjeevi said the meeting was satisfying and that he had explained to the CM the current issues the film industry is facing.
"There has been a lot of speculation on movie ticket prices since the last few weeks. While the film industry is dissatisfied with what is happening, the state government on the other hand says that its intention is to do good for the industry," said Chiranjeevi.
It is learned that the Chief Minister invited Chiranjeevi to discuss the issue before making any decision.
Chiranjeevi explained to the CM the issues the film industry and exhibitors are facing. "The film industry is not a glamorous world inside. There are many who depend on the industry. In the current debate over movie tickets, it is the theatre owners who are facing a lot of issues," said Chiranjeevi.
Meanwhile, Jagan has assured to take a positive decision and reconsider the GO on ticket prices and announce the new decision in another 10 days.
"The CM has assured to hold a meeting with the film chamber and exhibitors to find a proper solution," Chiranjeevi added.
