CID raids former IAS officer Lakshmi Narayana's home in Hyderabad

The Andhra Pradesh CID raided the residence of former IAS officer Lakshmi Narayana at Jubilee Hills here on Friday. Mr. Narayana is accused of diverting funds of the Skill Development Corporation through shell companies.

CID raids former IAS officer Lakshmi Narayanas home in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh CID raided the residence of former IAS officer Lakshmi Narayana at Jubilee Hills here on Friday. Mr. Narayana is accused of diverting funds of the Skill Development Corporation through shell companies.

Mr. Narayana and his family tried to prevent the CID officers from entering their house but the latter had a search warrant.

The former bureaucrat allegedly diverted funds from Siemen's project of Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation to shell companies during his tenure.

He served as a special secretary for former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu before 2004. Later, he was appointed the commissioner of collegiate education during former Chief Minister Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy's regime.

After his retirement, Mr. Narayana joined as the director of AP Skill Development Corporation.
