Kuppam: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the Kuppam Branch Canal and released Krishna waters to over four lakh residents in Kuppam and Palamaneru constituencies on Monday.
The water is sourced from the newly constructed Kuppam Branch Canal, a monumental project completed for Rs 560.29 crores under the AVR HNSS (Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi) Project Phase-2 in Rama Kuppam Mandal, Chittoor District.
110 irrigation tanks for 6,300 acres
This ensures irrigation water to 6,300 acres of ayacut through 110 minor irrigation tanks in the Kuppam constituency. This development fulfils the long-standing desire of the people of Kuppam for access to drinking and irrigation water, marking a new era of prosperity and growth for the region.
Exposing the failures of Chandrababuās regime, CM Jagan delivered a resounding message. He said, āFor 35 years, Chandrababu Naidu represented Kuppam and held the CM office for 14 years. Shockingly, in all this time, he couldnāt complete the Kuppam Branch Canal.ā
CM Jagan further emphasised YSRCPās impact on the Kuppam constituency, claiming that the government had allocated Rs 66 crores for various developmental projects in the Kuppam municipality, establishing a strong commitment to Kuppamās growth and prosperity.
