CM Naidu proposes WhatsApp as platform for issuing caste, income certificates

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the heads of all State departments to make use of technology extensively to provide efficient administration. He also asked them to collaborate among themselves using the information in real time.
The information of all the departments should be integrated through Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) to monitor it all together, CM Chandrababu Naidu said during a review with the officials of the Chief Ministerās Office (CMO) on Tuesday. The CM said that all necessary information should be gathered and integrated to provide the best possible service through WhatsApp.
āUse AI to address public appealsā
CM Naidu directed the officials to design the system making WhatsApp a platform for important documents such as caste and income certificates.
āThe appeals received from the public should be disposed of fast utilising technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Tech. RTGS should also examine the process of resolving the complaints and the level of peopleās satisfaction,ā the chief minister said.
āUse drones to stop ganja cultivation and road accidentsā

Speaking about the ganja plantations which were recently identified through Google Maps with the help of drones, the chief minister told the officials to make use of the drones to identify the pests and alert the farmers. āDrones should also be used for finding the reasons for road accidents on the highways to resolve the issues that led to such mishaps,ā he said.
The officials informed the chief minister that the farmers were happy with the grain procurement in the State. They said that 90 per cent of the farmers expressed satisfaction over the price offered to their stocks, transport facility and the availability of gunny bags besides payments made to them.
CM Chandrababu also told the officials to monitor social media posts and take necessary action. When the officers informed the chief minister that household geo-tagging had reached its final stage, he said that the process should be properly supervised.
1,000 Aadhaar centres
The chief minister said he is particular about making Aadhaar services more viable and sanctioned Rs 20 crores for purchasing the necessary kits. He also said that 1,000 Aadhaar centres be set up at all the village and ward secretariats at the earliest.
CM Chandrababu said a single portal should be created for supervising various projects in the State taken up with Rs 100 crores besides updating in real-time the 80 projects being taken up by the Centre.
A fresh web portal will be created by January 1, 2025, to permanently resolve the problems arising while issuing the birth and death certificates, CM Naidu said. The portal will be managed jointly by the Panchayat Raj and Urban Development departments.
