Tirupati: A middle-aged woman who married three different men to loot cash and valuables was arrested by the Alipiri police near Tirupati on Wednesday.

Police said 29-year-old Sunil Kumar is working as a marketing professional at Satyanarayanapuram in Tirupati city. Hailing from Nagarajakandriga, he fell in love with his acquaintance M. Suhasini, who was working in ADB Finance.

The couple got married in December 2020. Sunil Kumar's family gave 20 grams of gold to Suhasini, who claimed to have been raised as an orphan. Police said that she later took Rs 2 lakh from Sunil's father on a different pretext.

When Sunil enquired about the money, Suhasini fled from the house on June 8. Based on her Aadhaar card, it was learnt that she was already married to Venkateshwar from Nellore district and had a daughter.

The woman had also cheated Vinay of Kothaguddem. Police said the woman projected herself as an orphan to gain sympathy.

Vinay married her on May 22, 2019, and she took Rs10 lakh from his parents and relatives. Later, Vinay came to know that Suhasini was already married to Venkateshwar from Nellore. Vinay recently released a video clipping citing that how he was cheated by Suhasini.

Sunil complained to the police on June 13. Suhasini was arrested by the police at Vivekananda Circle at Tirupati SVIMS on Tuesday.

Police said that they are investigating the case from multiple angles to find out how many men have been duped.
