Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh continues to see a rise in daily COVID-19 cases. It reported 4,528 new cases on 14 January. This is a huge increase from just four days ago (10 January) when the state had reported only 984 cases.
According to a release issued by the state command control room, Chittoor reported the highest number of new cases (1,027) followed by Visakhapatnam (992).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 418 people have recovered from the virus. The state now has 18,313 active cases.
The four-day holiday will see people travelling within and outside the state and the number of COVID-19 cases is expected to see a rise.
